OVERVIEW OF LAKE BUNYONYI:

Lake Bunyonyi, often called “The Place of Little Birds, is one of Uganda’s most breathtaking natural treasures. Nestled in the southwestern part of the country near the town of Kabale, the lake lies close to the border with Rwanda. Its name originates from the countless small birds that thrive in its lush surroundings. Known as the second deepest lake in Africa, Lake Bunyonyi stretches about 25 kilometers long and 7 kilometers wide, dotted with 29 scenic islands of different shapes and sizes.
