How to book hiking at Mount Elgon

You must have a hiking permit from the park's Mbale headquarters in order to schedule a hike in Mount Elgon National Park. The world's largest caldera is found on Uganda's Mount Elgon, a volcanic mountain. Reaching 4321 meters above sea level, it is the eighth highest summit in Africa. Mount Elgon National Park is home to the massive peak, which has a diameter of more than 80 kilometers. It has the ideal balance of heather zone, mixed bamboo, montane, and moorland vegetation cover.
