SAFARI ACTIVITIES IN MBALE

CLIMBING
Due to its eastern location, Mbale is close to a number of hiking destinations. It is situated in the slopes of one of Mount Elgon's ranges, Wanale. From the summit of Wanale, you may enjoy a stunning view of Mbale city and lovely waterfalls.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to hike Mount Elgon, East Africa's oldest extinct volcano. Cliffs, waterfalls, caverns, hot springs, and, of course, the summits of Mount Elgon, which contain one of the biggest calderas in the area, are all part of the area's landscape. Along with a diverse range of plants and animals, the park is home to 144 different kinds of birds for birdwatchers.

SIPI COLLAPSES
Three breathtaking waterfalls in Eastern Uganda are known as Sipi Falls. The waterfalls flow over cliffs that are between 69 and 100 meters high. The back of the falls may be seen from the caverns where visitors can stand. Sipi Falls is the beginning point for numerous walks up Mount Elgon, and it's less than a 40-minute drive from Mbale city.

CITY TOURING AND EXPERIENCES IN CULTURE
The rich customs and culture of Mbale City and its surrounding areas are examined through the cultural experiences. Nature walks or bike trips might be used for this. Various bundles are available based on your preferences.

VISITS TO FARMS AND COFFEE TASTING
Come to the coffee plantations where hundreds of Ugandans, tourists, and investors gather to watch coffee growers grow arabica coffee on the slopes of Mount Elgon. High heights and fertile volcanic soils are two of the many reasons why coffee grows well on the slopes of Mount Elgon. See the journey coffee takes from the farm to the table and retail products by going on a guided coffee tour.

VISIT AND PARTICIPATE WITH COMMUNITY GROUPS
Even if you only have a day or two to spare during your visit, we have worked with non-governmental organizations that support community development in Uganda's rural districts. Volunteer for a day at these non-governmental organizations or with neighborhood associations in Mbale and the surrounding areas. These community groups are active in the various communities, offering a wide range of programs that include helping families and children meet their basic needs, collaborating with community clinics to enhance public health in rural areas, counseling young men, women, and even children, providing literacy assistance to adults, training in vocational skills, and much more.

CEREMONY OF IMBALU CIRCUMCISION
The Bagisu people celebrate their culture by holding the Imbalu circumcision ceremony from August to December. The purpose of this event is to help boys become men. Many people are drawn to join in the ceremony's many rites, which include traditional music and dances. During a tour of Mbale City, tourists can observe the different cultural customs and take part in the Imbalu circumcision rite.

THE MBALE CITY WALK
Walking through the city is the ideal method to start a visit of Mbale City. Mbale City's streets allow visitors to stroll around and examine the historic colonial structures that transport them back in time. Some of the city's structures have historical significance since they date back to the era of slavery, when the city served as a gateway for Arab traders traveling from modern-day Sudan to the Mombasa coast. Interactions with locals on a walkthrough of Mbale City also reveal the vibrant culture of the Bagisu people.

REGIONAL MARKETPLACES
A visit to the local markets is the best way to experience Mbale City's business center. Many individuals go from all across the nation to trade at these markets. Food, clothing, and other items like crafts and art are all sold in the local markets. These small markets have traders all the way to Kenya's borders. In addition to exploring the city's numerous local markets, visitors can stop by and assist the local vendors by purchasing a few trinkets.

THE CULINARY EXPERIENCE AT BAMASABA/BAMASABA FOOD EXPERIENCE
Visitors can have a Bamasaba culinary experience during a tour to Mbale City. Visitors can sample the Bamasaba people's regional cuisine here. These indigenous people are well-known for their extraordinarily tasty millet and plantain-based regional cuisines. They add cucurbits, yams, and beans to their meals. This culinary adventure will liven up your Mbale City trip.

HILL WANALE
Wanale Hill, also called Nkokonjeru Hill, is a hill in Mountain Elgon National Park that offers breathtaking views of waterfalls and rocks. Masaba, one of the Bamasaba people's founding fathers, was Wanale's father. The name Nkokonjeru means "white chicken" since it is thought that Wanale raised white chickens while living atop Mount Elgon. Escarpments, deep valleys, and precipitous rock cliffs that are inundated with water are some of the hill's spectacular features. For these breathtaking and picturesque views, take a trip to Wanale Hill in Mbale City.

MOUNT NUSU AND THE FALLS OF WALWANYI
Take in the stunning views of the Walwanyi Falls on Mount Nusu's Temple of Nature. The falls are situated on the rock cliff that runs beside Wanale Hill and Mount Nusu. The Walwanyi Falls are nourished by the Temple of Nature, and guests may take in expansive views of the surroundings. Visitors can swim in the natural swimming pool that is fed by the falls and situated in the mountain's foothills.

HIKE MOUNT ELGON
Without trekking Mount Elgon, a tour of Mbale City would not be complete. This magnificent peak is ranked second in the nation and fourth in East Africa and eighth in Africa, respectively. Visitors are treated to breathtaking vistas of the mountain, including rock cliffs, deep valleys, and waterfalls, along the climb. The numerous mountain caverns worth exploring are also accessible to hikers of Mount Elgon.
