Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 of 10 days: Arrival in Kigali
Upon your arrival at Kigali International airport, you will be picked by our professional driver guide and embark on the journey to Kigali city where you will check in refreshing and enjoy late lunch, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 of 10 days: Transfer to Bukavu
One day 2 of the 10 days Congo safari, you will wake up in the morning for breakfast and check out to meet your driver guide and embark on the journey to Bukavu via Nyungwe forest where you will view lake Kivu and proceed to check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 of 10 days: lowland Gorilla trekking
You will wake up in the morning and enjoy your breakfast then you meet your driver guide to proceed to the office of the park where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while in the habitant of lowland gorillas.
This is the best place to trek lowland gorillas since Rwanda and Uganda only have mountain Gorillas. After Gorilla trekking, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 of 10 days: Nature walks and waterfall trail
You will wake up in the morning to have breakfast and drive to the park for nature walk where you will in position to sight the different wildlife along the way, visit tea plantations and proceed the walk towards Tshiabati waterfall that runs across two rivers where you will spot different water birds and other mammals along the shores of the two rivers. After the walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 of 10 days: Transfer to Goma
You will wake up in the morning for breakfast and check out of the lodge to meet your driver guide to embark on the journey to Goma. The journey from Bukavu to Goma you will be enjoying the cool breath.
Upon the arrival to Goma, you will enjoy your lunch and proceed to the park headquarters of Virunga national park for the gorilla permit then you proceed to check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 of 10 days: 1st Gorilla trekking
You will wake up in the early in the morning for breakfast, packed lunch box and drive to the park headquarters for Gorilla trekking briefing, head to the wild for the adventurous activity of encountering mountain gorillas in their natural habitat where you will also take the photos and interact with Gorilla. After the activity, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 7 of 10 days: 2nd Gorilla trekking
You will wake up very early morning for breakfast, packed lunch and meet your driver guide for the 2nd Gorilla trekking adventure where you will be offered a different gorilla group different from the one you trekked on previous day in order to have a different experience in the jungle. After trekking, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 8 of 10 days: chimpanzee trekking
You will wake up in the morning for breakfast, packed lunch box, snacks and proceed for a chimpanzee trekking in Muhura forest where you will spend a day. Like Gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking also lasts between 30minutes and 7 hours or a fully day. Once the habituated chimpanzee is allocated, only one hour is allowed in presence of chimpanzees taking photos and interacting with them. After trekking you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 9 of 10 days: hiking mount Nyiragongo
You will wake up in the morning for breakfast and check out of the lodge and drive to the office for briefing before proceeding to Kibati petrol post where mount Nyiragongo hike starts.
During the hike, you will be in position to sight different wildlife including primates, mammals and bird species. You will have the overnight at the summit as you enjoy the clear view of the lava in the night as it glows.

Day 10 of 10 days: Departure
You will wake up in the morning for breakfast and go back at Kibati where you will drive back to Kigali Rwanda for lunch before proceeding to the airport for departure.
