Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Akagera National Park
Your Rwanda safari begins with our guide meeting and greeting you on arrival at Kigali International airport. You will have a brief tour of Kigali city tour, Gisozi genocide memorial and interactive lunch before transferring to north west on the boundary with Tanzania to Akagera national Park. Check in at your hotel to relax in a wild grassland environment, shake off jet lag and enjoy your safari to Rwanda.

Day 2: Morning Game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Wake up early morning, take a hot cup of coffee, get into the waiting car and set off for the best game drive on tour to Rwanda in search of lions, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, leopards, other mammals and lots of bird species resident in the park. Enjoy the beautiful scenic views of savannah grassland and aquatic vegetation along the shores of the river. Return to your lodge for a delicious lunch.
After lunch you will take a boat cruise on Lake Ihema, explore the beautiful islands and get up close to huge crocodiles basking on the shores. In the later hours, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park Via Kigali city
After a delicious breakfast, begin your return journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park via Kigali city. You will take a brief tour of the craft market to buy souvenir craft items, have African buffet lunch; unique on Rwanda tour. You will then descend south west and visit the national museum, get brief history of historical events in Rwanda. Later on, proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your earlier booked lodge in time for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk.
Wake up at first light for more excitement of safari in Rwanda, take a hot cup of coffee to warm up your body and wash away the coldness of the night before the guide drops you to tourism office for registration, briefing and chimpanzee tracking in the dense Nyungwe forests. The forest is a rich ecosystem with lots of other wildlife and all through you will encounter exciting scenarios. You will spend approximately 5 hours in the forests before returning to the base station in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will take a canopy walk over the thick rain forests and get the thrill of getting closest to wildlife in the forest on tour of Rwanda. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibuye Gisenyi (Lake Kivu)
Enjoy your morning sleep and feel the freshness of safari in Rwanda. You will take a late breakfast in the lawns and enjoy scenic views of morning mist melting under the heat of the morning sun. You will check out of your hotel and take a tour of Bugarama Hot Springs where you may take a shower of the hot water from the springs rich in natural mineral content and potential to cure skin ailments; unique on safari to Rwanda. You will have lunch in Kibuye shortly before taking a boat cruise to explore beautiful scenes on Lake Kivu and thereafter transfer to Gisenyi a coastal town also on close to Volcanoes National Park for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and community tour.
Gorilla trekking safaris rate amongst top adventure activities on safaris to Rwanda in particular and Africa in general for the activity gets you very close to wildlife and nature. Start the activity of the day with a hot cup of coffee harvested from the foothills of volcanic mountains just in your midst, get into the waiting car and the guide will transfer you to park tourism office. You will register, meet fellow trekkers, get ranger guide escorts and proceed into the wilderness which is full of life. The ranger guides have many tricks they use to locate the exact feeding sites of gorillas and once located you will spend averagely an hour with them for scientific reasons and descend to the base station and hotel for a late lunch.
In the afternoon, take a guided community walk and interact with indigenous Rwandans in their traditional homesteads and get brief experiences of their traditional lifestyles. You will get wonderful experiences with one of the most homecomings and loving African community before returning to your hotel to share your wonderful Rwanda safari experiences with friends on line.

Day 7: Transfer back to Kigali - Departure
Rwanda safari is climaxing and enjoy the comfort of your room in a unique and wild Rwandan environment. Watch a stunning sunset over the steep volcanic mountains and listen to sweet tweets of birds welcoming the new day. You will take breakfast at leisure and shortly begin your transfer to Kigali. Your driver guide will drop you at either a hotel of your choice in Kigali or Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight. This marks the end of your 7 days best Rwanda Safari.
