7 Days Rwanda Congo safari will include chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe and gorilla excursion to Volcanoes national park to visit mountain gorillas and an adventure to hike the Nyiragongo active lava Volcano in the Democratic republic of Congo. This safari will begin and end in Kigali.
Our tour guide will pick you up from either the airport or hotel, and head to Nyungwe forest national park. Drive through the rolling hills, lush green savannah vegetation as well as trading centers. You may make a stopover in any of the trading centers to interact with the local members of the communities. This is an opportunity for you to learn something new during your 7 Days Congo Gorilla Trekking safari.
Upon arrival, check in to your earlier booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Wake up to an early breakfast at your hotel then proceed with your guide to the Nyungwe forest headquarters for briefing about tracking chimps. As you hike through the forest, you will come across other primates like monkeys, these will excite you as you get closer to the chimpanzees. After a wonderful time with the chimpanzees, you return for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you go for a forest canopy walk.

Have an early morning breakfast at your hotel and your guide will drive you off to Volcanoes National Park. The drive will take you via Lake Kivu were you will have clear views of the water body and take pictures of the beautiful area. Have lunch en route and continue with our interesting drive. Arrive late and check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up to an early breakfast at your hotel then proceed with your guide to the Volcanoes park headquarters as early as 7:30am for briefing on the rules and regulations before u embark to the jungle where you will spend maximum of one hour once you meet the mountain gorillas then return to lodge in the afternoon for freshening up. In the evening head out for a tour to the twin lake of Burera & Ruhondo. Dinner and overnight.

Have breakfast at your hotel early morning and cross over to DR Congo through Goma border and tour around Goma city
Upon arrival, check in to your earlier-booked lodge in Goma for dinner overnight.

After an early morning breakfast, your guide will pick you up and proceed to Kibati village where the mountain Hike starts from. You will reach the top in the evening because the hike takes about 4-6 hours depending on your ability to hike. Dinner and overnight at your earlier-booked lodge.

Day 7. Transfer back to Kigali
In the morning, you will descend the volcano and cross back to Rwanda to Kigali for a grand city tour. Expect to tour historical places like the genocide memorial site, the national museum. Later have lunch and drop off at either your hotel or the airport. This marks the end of your amazing 7 Days Rwanda Congo Gorilla Trekking safari.
