Greetings, everyone! I'm Kaylin Alva, and I recently lived out a captivating 7-day adventure in Vietnam, a dream nurtured since I was 10 years old. As an avid seeker of new thrills, the allure of the Sapa motorbike loop, stumbled upon via a YouTube video, had long beckoned me. Finally, the dream materialized as I set foot in Vietnam, a country intricately connected to my roots as my mother's homeland.
Accompanied by my equally adventurous boyfriend, our tight schedule allowed us to explore only the northern reaches of Vietnam in this brief period. However, the vibrant allure of this nation ensures my return for further exploration. After extensive research and guidance from Ms. Dorris, who introduced me to it, I chose Autour Asia, a reputable travel agency, to plan our trip.
Subsequently, with the expertise of Miss Van, a travel consultant, I independently secured an e-visa for Vietnam after finalizing all service bookings and airline reservations. Landing in Vietnam in March 2023, amidst favorable weather, my meticulously crafted itinerary spanned 7 days and 6 nights.

Day 1: Hanoi
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour
Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay - Surprise Cave
Day 4: Halong Bay - Titov Island - Tuan Chau - Hanoi - Night train to Sapa
Day 5: Lao Cai - Sapa - Ma Tra Village
Day 6: Sapa - Cat Cat Village - Y Linh Ho Village - Lao Chai Village - Ta Van Village
Day 7: Ta Van Village - Leisure time back to Sapa - Hanoi by Bus
On our first day in Hanoi, a surprise awaited us at a downtown massage salon, where I experienced an invigorating oriental oil massage. The second day involved visits to key landmarks, and we concluded our two days in Vietnam adventure trip with a traditional water puppetry show. Our stay at San Boutique Hanoi offered a fantastic view of the city.

I had a fantastic experience on the Indochina Sails Premium cruise. The ship’s elegant and classy Indochinese feel, along with the absence of loud music, made it even better. The group of guests was just the right size, making you feel special. The staff took good care of you, and the timing for your island visits was perfect. It felt like you had the whole island to yourselves before the day-trip tours arrived. They really went above and beyond to make the journey wonderful. The food was very good, and the prices for drinks were reasonable for a cruise. You adore everything about it and would definitely recommend it!
For a fun-filled evening together, you can engage in thrilling Vietnam adventure activities, such as kayaking under the night lights. Night squid fishing was your favorite activity, though, and it was quite interesting!
We had a great time in Sapa. We went on a two-day Sapa trekking through the rice fields to discover the ethnic minorities living around Sapa and enjoy the wonderful landscapes this region offers. Our third day during the Vietnam adventure was completely organized and tailored to our request, which we appreciated. We learned a lot about the region, whether it’s about minorities, fauna and flora, or how rice fields work. We stayed in a homestay, and the family there took really good care of us. They even made pancakes for breakfast, and the food during our trek was also delicious. I wish we had more time to enjoy Vietnam because it’s so fantastic!
